The pretty as a picture bundle features a 30-minute family portrait session, with 5 edited digital images, from Ashley Walker Photography. She is natural light photographer based in La Crescenta, specializing in maternity, newborn, sitter, customized cake smashes, child, and family portraits. You’ll work with her throughout the process, from designing your photoshoot and/or location planning, until delivery of your hand selected images. Get ready for your close-up with an amazing haircare basket from Little Mountain Salon. Little Mountain Salon was established in July of 2019 and is located in the East Montecito Shopping & Arts District of Sierra Madre. They are a boutique salon, not the typical large, bustling salon you might be used to. They strive to create a relaxing atmosphere so you can enjoy getting pampered, all while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety for clients as well as stylists. This beautiful basket features R+Co Sunset Blvd Daily Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner, Two R+Co Round Brushes, Assorted Hair Accessories, a Selection of Bath Soaks from Wild Yonder Studio, AND a gift certificate for $50 towards your hair service with Paige Meiser at Little Mountain Salon.
A note from SUDAN EDUCATION FOUNDATION: Simply Speaking is our largest fundraising event each year with an attendance of over 100 members, philanthropists, business owners and community activists, all passionate about our mission: to empower women to break barriers in order to build their futures and strengthen their communities.
We invite you to support the Junior League of Pasadena and Simply Speaking by bidding on one or more of the amazing items in our silent auction! The funds raised from your participation will enable the League to continue supporting volunteers and community leaders as we work together on our focus area: supporting the development of women in our community by strengthening their business, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills. The focus area has given life to a variety of projects under this umbrella including, but not limited to:
● Women’s Career Workshops covering topics such as resume writing and mock interviewing,
● Participation in the Little Black Dress initiative, a week-long social media awareness and fundraising
campaign to illustrate the restrictions poverty places on choices, opportunities, and access to resources,
● Advocating for legislation focused on making it better for women in the workplace.
● Development Drives, in which members donate items ranging from portfolios to professional attire,
supporting the success of workshop attendees. A new initiative this year was a noteworthy Diaper Drive in which over 4,000 diapers were donated to families in need.
